Kevin Kenneally
Managing Director
Kevin has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. With a proven track record in both construction and engineering. Kevin is proactive in being ‘solution focused’, having successfully managed the delivery of commercial, educational, healthcare and industrial projects.
Kevin established his own architectural and engineering business in 1999, and due to its huge success, the practice was amalgamated in 2004 into Kenneally Murphy Ltd.
Kevin has accumulated a wealth of experience, across a diverse range of projects. This includes the designing of award winning commercial, public and educational buildings, and also the creation of bespoke private residences, both in Ireland and internationally.
Kevin has delivered projects, from inception to completion, nationally and internationally for both the public and private sector, including government departments, local authorities and private developers.
Kevin is recognized, internally and externally, as an expert in the areas of project management, design and detailing, structural designs and site inspections. Kevin connects and collaborates with a global network of experts; architects, engineers, urban designers, planners, interior designers, and master builders who are leading the change toward a more sustainable and equitable future.
As the Managing Director of Kenneally Murphy, Kevin has been able to create a dynamic working environment where integrity, dignity and a pioneering mindset is championed.
Billy Horgan
Associate Director
Billy is an Architect with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. After graduating, in 2000, Billy worked on large scale developments, including the Mount Oval development; 800+ residential project.
Billy then emigrated and was involved with many international projects from the Hong Kong Airport to the National Australian Bank in Melbourne. This provided Billy with the unique opportunity to further develop his knowledge and expertise.
Upon his return home, Billy worked on large scale retail and residential projects. This included both hotel & civic buildings.
In 2011, Billy joined Kenneally Murphy, and has proven to be a major asset to the company with his very strong design skills, his attention to detail and his ability to project manage large projects.
Billy has highly developed analytical thinking skills with an effective focus on creating contemporary architecture, integrating landscape and sustainability.
Billy is a Passive House Designer, where he uses his expertise to design and construct passive houses which reduce the heating and cooling requirements in homes. Additionally, Passive House Design saves energy (lower carbon emissions), low maintenance costs and reduces fuel bills.
Petra Walsh
Lead Archtect
Petra, is a highly skilled Lead Architect, with over 16 years of experience in taking projects from inception to completion. She is a passionate Lead Architect with a flair for project management, tendering procedures, design and detail and also a talented urban designer.
Petra specialises in the design of residential and commercial architecture; including bespoke private residential developments, educational, industrial, commercial and mixed-use developments.
Petra is vastly experienced in managing large scale projects; educational, residential, and also city development projects. Some of the project that Petra has managed include the Business Class Lounge at Hamad International Airport, Qatar, residential schemes in Cakovice, Prague and the city development of Havlickovo Square, Prague.
Since joining Kenneally Murphy in 2018, Petra has led by example and is highly appreciated for her work effort, knowledge, expertise and the dedication she brings to the job.
Gerard O’Dowd
Senior Architectural Technician and Designer
A Senior Architectural Technician and Designer with over 30 years of highly valued expertise whilst working in the Construction, Architectural and Design Industry. A talented team member and design leader on numerous projects, including, but not limited to, uniquely designed residential homes, housing developments, hotels, bars, offices and retail projects.
Gerard, has strong leadership qualities, a wealth of experience in the world of project management; concept, design and development. Vastly experienced in project budgeting and an expert in interior and landscape design.
Gerard, who joined Kenneally Murphy in 2019, is a dedicated Senior Technician and Designer whose hard work is a testimony to his commitment to helping clients achieve their desired projects.
Michael O’Brien
Senior Architectural Technologist
Mike has over 40 years of experience working on a wide range of projects including; residential, retail, commercial and mixed-used developments.
Mike has strong leadership and project management skills which enables him to lead multi-disciplinary teams from the initial design stage through to client handover.
Mike’s proficiency in computer aided design, AutoCad and Revit, project concept and design, coupled with his vast knowledge of current industry regulations makes Mike a valuable member of the Kenneally Murphy team.
Ann-Marie Scanlon
Office Administrator
By applying her unique skill set to the role, Ann-Marie is able to coordination and manage a multi-disciplinary team which builds on each other’s expertise to achieve architectural design solutions.
